The fight

At the beginning of the battle, Masvidal threatened to attack Diaz, just as he did with Askren, but Nate disappeared, while his rival smiled. The athletes exchanged blows and grabbed each other. Jorge went after his opponent and managed to knock his opponent down with a kick to the head, who felt the previous attacks. Nate's face was already bleeding, but the North American looked as cool as ever. Jorge showed a lot of aggression and threw blows from top to bottom, while Diaz threw kicks from the ground. After little action, the referee asked for the fight to return to standing. At a clear disadvantage, Diaz tried to take the duel to the ground, but the attempt was defended by his opponent. After the frustration, Nate attacked Masvidal with a series of punches, raising applause from the audience. To stop his compatriot, Jorge held his opponent and pressed Nate against the fence. The athletes provoked each other and the assault ended.

In the second stage, Nate started trying to get out of the loss of the first round. The athlete attacked Jorge with a series of punches, while his compatriot dodged. With a deep cut on his eyebrow, Diaz began to suffer attacks in the injured area. A clean kick to the waistline shook Diaz, who collapsed again. Masvidal had the upper hand again. Nate began to mock his rival, who attacked him again aggressively. Masvidal pressed his opponent against the bars, looked for his back and managed to get a good takedown on his opponent. In the final seconds, Nate tried a heel hook, but there was no more time on the clock.

PUBLICITY:

Diaz returned to the fight, taking the initiative. Masvidal, however, was smiling and seemed to be enjoying the fight. Nate began to launch his traditional jab and straight sequences and made the crowd cheer, however, a left cross exploded in Diaz's face, who started swinging again. After two minutes, the fighters took the risk of striking in the center of the Octagon. The fight remained hectic, but the bleeding in Nate's eye was starting to bother the athlete. Even though he lost, Diaz continued to attack his opponent, showing excellent physical conditioning. At the end of the stage, Nate attempted a takedown, but ended up failing, as Jorge ended up falling on top and had the chance to connect more blows.

Before returning for the fourth round, the Ultimate doctor interrupted the return to check the condition of the cut on Nate's eyebrow. After analysis, the professional prevented the confrontation from continuing, declaring Jorge's victory.
