One of the biggest stars in the history of mixed martial arts gave his fans a scare. At 56 years old, the former light heavyweight (up to 93kg) and heavyweight (up to 120,2kg) champion was admitted to a hospital in Los Angeles (USA) after feeling unwell during a training session at his gym. The athlete had a heart attack and remains under observation after treatment. The information was released by 'TMZ'. The North American is recovering well.

The Brazilian, who was on the rise in the company, ended up scoring an impressive knockout in the second round of the fight. In a stroke of rare happiness, Machida managed to land a well-aimed kick against the American's chin, which immediately led to the legend's knockout.

Film career
Shortly before retiring from mixed martial arts for good, Couture found a new career possibility; this time, at the cinema. The athlete was invited to participate in some films in Hollowood and even played characters in films such as 'The Scorpion King 2' (2008) and in some films in the 'Expendables' franchise, led by action actor Sylvester Stallone.
