Dominick reyes really impressed many after his last performance, in ufc boston, last Friday (18), when he easily beat the former middleweight champion (up to 83,9kg.), Chris Weidman. The young man's performance caught the eyes of an old acquaintance of the division, Daniel Cormier. “I think it’s a good fight (Jones x Reyes). Dominick reyes He is in good physical shape. He showed that he can defend takedowns. I think those two would put on a great fight. I think this kid is amazing. He did everything right to get to the condition he is in now. I’m very impressed with him,” Cormier said.

For Daniel, there is no need to delay in scheduling the confrontation between Dominick and Jones. In the current ranking of the category, Reyes appears in fourth place, and, ahead of him, he has only Anthony Smith, defeated by Jones in March of that year, Thiago Marreta, beaten by the champion in July; and Cormier himself, who now works in the heavyweight division and has no desire to return to his old category.

“He (Dominick) is healthy after that big fight and Jones has recently gone through his legal problems, whatever they are. So why not let them fight? (Reyes) has a key that can nullify Jones and that's huge”, concluded 'DC'.

Since you won Thiago Marreta in the split decision of the judges, in a fight valid for the UFC 239, the Ultimate management team has found it difficult to find opponents who can make a profit and compete against someone who, for many, is the best MMA athlete of all time.

Names like Brazilian Johnny Walker have emerged, brought by the new generation of athletes who were hired by the company. However, Walker still has to win a few fights to prove that he is, in fact, an athlete who could one day hold a company belt.

Dominick, at the current moment, can be considered the best name to be selected against Jones, possibly in the first half of 2020.

Jon Jones He hasn't known what it's like to lose a fight for almost 10 years and his only negative result came after landing an illegal blow on Matt Hamill in the final of TUF (The Ultimate Fighter) 10, in December 2009.

Reyes, 29 years old, currently has 12 fights and has never been beaten in his professional MMA career.
