Cameroonian Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou, after losing to Lyoto Machida and recovering against the Japanese Kazuhiro Nakamura, at UFC-84, it seems that he returned to his usual talk and challenged the Brazilian Mauricio Shogun once again. In an interview with the American website Fight Thype, Sokoudjou states that Shogun has avoided a fight against him since his Pride days.
“I've wanted to fight Shogun since the Pride days, but his team (Chute Boxe) offered me Cyborg first, but I never wanted to fight Cyborg”, said the Tem Quest athlete. Asked if he had contacted Shogun after the UFC-84 victory, Sokoudjou replied:
"Yes! I love fighting, but he's been running away from me since Pride times”, he said. Exuding confidence, the Cameroonian answers how he would act if Shogun tried to take the fight to the ground:
“Good luck to him trying to put me down”, he concluded
