It didn't take long for Jon Jones respond to a report of non-payment to one of its coaches related to camping for the UFC 239, when 'Bones' defeated Thiago Marreta in the fight for the light heavyweight belt (up to 93kg.). On this occasion, Frank Lester charges US$13 (approximately R$54 thousand) related to his services for the athlete. In response, Jones stated that he has never had any problems with payments and said that he does not pay the full amount charged to members who are new to his team. The statement was made in response to Frank's own Instagram post.

“Frank, I gave you the opportunity of a lifetime. Everyone on the team knows that I wouldn't agree to giving you $20 ($13, according to Lester) for just your second training camp on my team. And if I did, I would have totally helped that amount. Not once in 10 years have I received a complaint about not paying team members,” Jones said. “If there's one thing I'm committed to, it's being the highest-paying customer,” said 'Bones'.
The MMA legend also touched on a delicate subject. Frank accused Jon's team of having fired him without justification before the clash with Marreta. To this end, the champion also presented a brief clarification.
“I’m not even going to get into the fact that you were fired from the team during fight week because of your drug problems,” the American wrote.
After the blunt speeches, Jones tried to put an end to the story. The athlete suggested that the case be taken to court, if Lester insisted on continuing to keep the situation public.
The champion also spoke about the threat of aggression published in the former coach's text. According to 'Bones', he has no interest in getting into a physical confrontation with Frank and made a point of emphasizing the fact.
“Anyway, I’m not going to argue with you over the internet. I would be more than happy to take this to a judge. It's the physical threat that I have a problem with. I have no interest in carrying a concealed pistol or preparing for any type of street fight with you,” Jon posted.
Finally, the mixed martial arts legend said goodbye to Lester and wished him a great future.
“Honestly, I wish I never met you, but I really wish you nothing but the best. Please leave me alone, bro, or see me in court”, concluded the athlete.
