The Brazilian Michael Pereira failed to reach the welterweight weight limit (up to 77kg.) and will lose 20% of his purse to Trinstan Connelly in the fight valid for UFC Vancouver, this Saturday (14), in Canada. The athlete, who is fighting in his second fight for Ultimate, was around one kilo above the limit established by the company, weighing 78kg. at the official weigh-in held this Friday afternoon. The fight, however, remains ongoing. Representatives of the main fight and Brazilians guarantee their presence at the event.

Michel, who has been called the 'Flying Paraense', had already impressed in his debut with his great wingspan and strength when compared to the rest of the athletes in the category that is today dominated by Kamaru Usman. For this weekend's commitment, the fighter had difficulty reaching the limit and failed for the first time in his commitment to his new company.
The man from Pará even tried to get to the mandatory weigh-in by taking off all his clothes, but he still didn't make it.
Connelly, Pereira's rival for this Saturday, was below 77kg., weighing 76,9kg.; around 100g below what was established.

Main fight confirmed
There were no major problems when weighing Donald Cerrone e Justin gaethje, who duel in the main fight of the Canadian event. The athletes, who dream of a victory to continue dreaming of a future fight for the lightweight title (up to 70,3kg), scored 70,5kg. and used the pound (0,454g.) of tolerance, since the clash is not valid for the belt.
The 'Cute Moment' was due to 'Cowboy's' son, who accompanied his father to the scales and posed for photos on the tough guy's lap.

Brazilians inside
The first athlete who will climb into the octagon of UFC Vancouver, Augusto Sakai, guaranteed his presence in the fight against Marcin tybura in the last fight of the preliminary card. The Paraná native scored 117kg. while his opponent weighed 116,8kg. The fighters will battle in the heavyweight division (up to 120,2kg).
Shoe Face also fulfilled its objective and secured itself in the fight against Uriah Hall to be played in the middleweight category. The Ceará native weighed 84,1kg, while his opponent weighed 83,5kg.
The former challenger for the light heavyweight title (up to 93kg.), Glover Teixeira he also fulfilled his obligation without major inconvenience. The fighter had no difficulty weighing 92,8kg. (about 200g below the established value). Nikita Krylove, the Brazilian's challenger, weighed 93,2kg. and confirmed his presence in the co-main fight of the night.
