the american aljamain sterling showed irritation with the provocations promoted by the former bantamweight champion (up to 61,2kg.), Dominick Cruz, and the current title holder, Henry Cejudo. Sterling criticized the fact that Cruz hadn't played for more than two years and put himself in the position of challenging for the title, jumping over higher-ranked athletes in the category. The complaint was made on his official Twitter account.

“Screw all this nonsense Dominick Cruz. Win a fight before trying to jump the queue! I worked hard while you sat your ass behind a desk. Get a number and get in the damn line or come up and fight me for the interim belt if you want,” wrote Aljamain.

Sterling's criticism does justice to the fact that his compatriot has not had an official fight since his defeat to cody garbrandt, which happened at the end of 2016 and resulted in him losing his belt. Since then, the athlete has remained away from the octagon.

Cruz, who was the most dominant athlete in the division for almost five years, has a low frequency of appearances for Ultimate. The 34-year-old fighter has always been the victim of repeated injuries, which prevented him from fighting. In eight years in the UFC, Dominick had only five fights.

Sterling got the right to become, in theory, the next title challenger after defeating the Brazilian Peter Munhoz, UFC 238, in June, whose main fight was the fight for the vacant title of the category between Henry Cejudo e Marlon moraes (1st in the ranking).

The victory over Munhoz made Sterling record his fourth consecutive victory and was considered, including by Dana White, as the next opponent of the 'Triple C'.
