Jungle Fight 39 returns to Rio de Janeiro

O Jungle Fight returns to Cidade Maravilhosa, on May 12th, in the event called “Jungle in Rio”. The show takes place at Clube Municipal, in the Tijuca neighborhood. In the most important confrontation of the night, Neílson Gomes from Bahia will face Ivan Batman from Santa Catarina. The winner of this fight will be the next challenger for the belt in the under 70 kg category, whose champion is Adriano Martins from Manaus.

The fight program also features the controversial Jaime Marcelo as an attraction, who claims to be a “real fight” world champion and says he has had 135 fights in his career, with 134 victories. Jaime’s opponent will be Armando “Polemico”, a former student of Ryan Gracie.

Excited about returning to Rio, Wallid Ismail says that the Rio public present at the show will have great fights to watch.

“As we are the main event for great fighters in the MMA country, the Jungle Fight, above all, is concerned with conveying a positive image of each place it passes through and consequently boosting tourism in the region. Jungle in Rio will be no different. We intend to further increase the flow of tourists in the wonderful city''. The president sends a message to sports lovers ''Whoever watches the Jungle in Rio will have an excellent demonstration of technique and race'', added Wallid.
