With each passing day, Colby covington has become a character to watch within the MMA universe. There are people who like the North American's provocative style, however, there are people who believe that the athlete's style goes beyond the limit in his insinuations to promote possible duels. The names at the time were Nate and Nick Diaz, brothers famous in mixed martial arts. The fighter provoked Nate in an interview with MMA Fighting and subsequently received a response from Nick.

“It doesn’t matter if I fight with Kamaru Usman Then it doesn't matter if I fight 'the sisters' (Nate and Nick) Diaz then it doesn't matter if I fight my best friend (Jorge masvidal) next, but my title will be defended at Madison Square Garden (No UFC 244, in New York)”, declared Colby.

The athlete commented on the possibility of sharing the octagon with Nate diaz in the future. The fighter returned to compete in professional combat three years after his presentation. In the duel, Diaz faced Anthony Pettis, former lightweight champion (up to 70,3kg.) and won a good victory.

"The traveler Nate diaz? He's addicted to marijuana. He's a bum. He needs to stay in Stockton (USA) and keep eating his soy because he is a little soy boy,” Covington teased.

Upon learning of Colby's statements, 'TMZ Sports' reached out to Nick, Nate's older brother, to find out what he thought about the loudmouth's statements. The fighter, also famous for his acidic statements, did not back down and responded in kind.

“I’m not going to stand here and call him (Colby) a liar. I didn't know what he had said. I know now. If you want to fight, you know where to find me. I'm not a hard guy to find. Step into my area. Come to me,” said Diaz.

Nick hasn't had an official fight since 2015, when he faced the Brazilian legend, Anderson Silva. At the time, the fight had initially been signaled a victory for the 'Spider', however, the result was changed to 'no contest', after both fighters were caught doping.

Colby is being considered to face the welterweight champion, Kamaru Usman, UFC 244, which takes place on November 2nd. However, the fight has not yet been confirmed by Ultimate. The Nigerian has not played since March this year, as he was recovering from hernia surgery.
