The images are strong! The North American Mike Perry fought an electrifying duel against the Brazilian Vincent Luque in the second most important fight of UFC Montevideo. But at the end of the fight, the Brasilia native landed a hard knee on his rival. The blow broke the fighter's nose, leaving his face completely deformed (see image below).
Perry continued to compete and even took down the Brazilian. However, Vicente managed a chokehold and as he tightened his grip, blood flowed down the North American's face (watch the video below). Mike survived the guillotine and took the fight to the judges' decision. Ultimately, all the effort was in vain and the American was defeated by split decision.
