Jones should defend his belt in September against Dan Henderson

The UFC had already confirmed, last month, that the fourth defense of the Jon Jones will be against Dan Henderson. But the organization's president, Dana White, spoke for the first time about the date that the light heavyweight title will be contested.

During the UFC on Fox 3 press conference, the manager stated that the duel should take place on September 1st, which is a Labor Day holiday in the United States. The duel should be the main attraction of UFC 151, which does not yet have a confirmed location.

The fight against Hendo will be the fourth title defense for Jones, who has a record of 16 wins and just one loss (by disqualification). In his last fight, the champion overcame Rashad evans. In turn, Dan Henderson, aged 42, has accumulated several belts in his career. The North American, who is a former PRIDE and Strikeforce champion, had his last fight at the end of November, when he defeated Mauritius Shogun at UFC 139.
