Ultimate holds its first event in history in Uruguay this Saturday (10). To debut in style in the South American country, the company's promoters have scheduled 26 fights, which will end in the main fight, with a title fight between Valentina Shevchenko and Liz Carmouche, valid for the women's strawweight title (up to 51,1kg.). In addition to the importance of the main fight, several Latin athletes were scheduled to take to the Octagon this weekend. Before the fights, however, the athletes must perform the traditional face-offs, which take place this Friday (9).

Without any major surprises, Shevchenko and Carmouche make weight and fight for the flyweight belt

Starting at 18pm (Brasília time), all 26 athletes scheduled to perform this weekend will face each other for the last time before exchanging forces in the Octagon. The event marks the event's ceremonial weigh-in, as the official weights were tallied in the morning.

In addition to the fight for the belt between Valentina and Carmouche, MMA enthusiasts, including Brazilian fans, will have plenty of reasons to follow the event, considering that out of 13 confirmed fights, 10 will have a Tupiniquim representative defending the colors of Brazil. In total, there will be eight Brazilians on the preliminary card and three acting for the main card. One of the biggest expectations for UFC Montevideo is the debut of Rudolph Vieira, one of the biggest names in the history of world jiu-jitsu, who will make his Ultimate debut.
