"Francis Ngannou He is a fighter who has the skills of an athlete, but he is not an athlete. Just look at what happened to Francis when he faced Miocic (in January 2018, for the heavyweight title (up to 120,2kg.). It was a warning, but, from the beginning, I told everyone that I want to be an athlete surrounded by by the best. I don't want to be good at just one trait. I want to take control,” said Greg.

The fighter insisted on saying that MMA does not have good athletes in several areas. For Hardy, the combatants became complacent after realizing that they were already capable of acting in a certain condition, that they forgot to improve their skills.

“I don’t think there are that many athletes out there. It's starting to become clear. It's starting to show. Most people have been fighting for so long that they have lost their ambition to become real athletes and have resigned themselves to the basic movement”, concluded the North American.

Even with the statements about the questionable quality of the fighters in his environment, Greg has still not been able to show his skills beyond his extraordinary strength. Since debuting in MMA last year, the giant has had six fights, losing only one due to disqualification. Hardy is currently 31 years old and is not yet ranked in the heavyweight division.

Ngannou, 32 years old, is coming off three big wins within the UFC. In the last two, the athlete managed to easily overcome two former champions of the division: Cain Velazquez and the Brazilian junior gypsy. Second in the ranking, the athlete awaits another chance to compete for the title following the result of the fight between Daniel Cormier (champion) and Stipe Miocic, on August 17, at UFC 242.
