The American note Holly holm will, for the third time, have the chance to win a UFC title. The athlete faces the Brazilian Amanda nunes for the bantamweight title (up to 61,2kg.) in the UFC 239, on July 6th and, despite showing respect to the 'Lionea', he says he is capable of regaining the belt that was once his. The statement was made in a recent interview with 'MMA Junkie'.

“This is a totally different fight. She is great? Yes. Am I facing a great fighter? Yes. This wouldn't be a great fight if she hadn't accomplished great things. So yes. It's a huge struggle, but I'm ready for it. I've been working really hard and this is what I'm doing. I’m working to win,” said Holm.

The 'Pastor's Daughter' also commented on Nunes' latest opponents, justifying that each fight is different from each other. For Holm, the duel between Amanda against Chris Cyborg e Valentina Shevchenko (the Brazilian's last opponents) is different from what will happen in July.

“Every fight makes a difference. My fight against Cyborg is different from the fight between Amanda and Cyborg. You can look at things in many different ways. You can look at something like Shevchenko and Nunes, where Shevchenko gave her a difficult time where she was very technical,” stated Holm.

Holly continued her reflections. For her, the fact that Amanda went through a more complicated moment in her fight against Valentina proves that a fight is totally different from any other that could happen.

“When you look at someone like Cyborg, who was the featherweight champion (up to 65,7kg.) and Shevchenko, the flyweight champion (up to 56,7kg.), you see that Amanda knocked out a bigger athlete (Cris) and had more difficulties against a lighter opponent. So, you can never look at one fight as if it would be similar to another. Every fighter is different. I'm not Cyborg and I'm not Shevchenko. I am Holly holm”, concluded the former champion.

The North American, despite once again having the chance to compete for the UFC bantamweight belt, did not have a great time in the company. In his last six fights, Holm managed to win just two victories. The last one, about the Australian Megan anderson at UFC 225, by unanimous decision of the judges, in June of last year.

The 'Leoa' is in the best phase of her career. Owner of two Ultimate belts, the athlete, in her last fight, dethroned the legendary Chris Cyborg in a fight that shocked the world. On that occasion, Amanda knocked out the feared Curitiba native after less than a minute of fighting.
