Earlier this week, the Kyrgyz athlete, Valentina Shevchenko, stated that he would like to fight again against Liz Camouche, against whom he fought in 2010 and suffered his first setback in his career. According to 'ESPN', Ultimate moved to meet the champion's wishes and scheduled the duel for UFC Montevideo, on August 10, in Uruguay. The company, however, has not yet made the commitment official.

If the fight is confirmed, Valentina will defend her second belt. The fighter won the title after beating the Polish fighter Joanna Jedrzejczyk, former strawweight champion (up to 52,1 kg.), in December last year, at UFC 231.
Since becoming division champion, many people behind the scenes have questioned whether there is any athlete capable of standing up to the current belt holder. Liz's choice, however, could bring more focus to the duel, given that the Kyrgyzstani's last opponent, Jessica Eye, presented no difficulties and was defeated after a brutal knockout on the 8th, by UFC 238.
Camouche and Valentina faced each other almost 10 years ago. The meeting took place at the C3 Fights event. On that occasion, Liz managed to land a kick while on the ground, which exploded on Shevchenko's face, resulting in a cut that forced the doctors to interrupt the fight, declaring a technical knockout and marking the first defeat in the flyweight champion's career.
The situation today, however, is different. More experienced, Valentina, has played 12 times since her setback. At 31 years old and having had 19 fights, with 16 wins and six losses in her professional MMA career, the athlete believes she can emerge victorious in the rematch.
Liz is currently coming off two consecutive victories. The last time she entered the Octagon was in February this year, when she defeated Czech Lucie Pudilová in a unanimous decision by the judges, at UFC Prague. At 35 years old, the American fought on 19 occasions, winning 13 and losing six.
