Reaching the end of the stage, Sterling landed good blows on the Brazilian's chin, which he shook twice. However, the São Paulo native showed a lot of heart and continued to attack the North American. In the fourth minute, Pedro hit Sterling with a low kick, knocking his opponent down. Even though he was in good physical condition, Aljamain's size continued to be a problem for the Tupiniquim. Sterling's blows continued to hit Munhoz's face, which, despite not blaming, hurt the Brazilian's face. After three minutes, the North American was already showing a lot of fatigue, and Pedro tried to take advantage of the situation by attacking his opponent against the cage. In the final minute, the two combatants, already very worn out, exchanged punches in the center of the octagon. Aljamain tried to get the Brazilian's legs, who defended himself well.
