With the public in his favor, Marlon Moraes provokes Henry Cejudo: 'No one likes him'

The Brazilian receives a warm welcome upon his arrival in Chicago and says that North Americans do not appreciate the current flyweight champion

apparently, Marlon moraes will have extra support in his title fight this Saturday (8), at UFC 238, in Chicago (USA): the audience. According to the athlete, the public does not sympathize with the current flyweight champion (up to 56,7kg) with whom he will share the octagon in the main fight of the event. In an interview with 'MMA Fighting', the Brazilian spoke about the affection of the fans and talked about his opponent.

However, recently, Cejudo stated that he is aware that part of MMA fans reject him as an athlete and as a champion. However, the fighter stated that he works hard to make his name appear among the greats of the sport. To do this, according to Henry, he must keep winning.

Even though he doesn't approve of the flyweight champion's style, Moraes always shows respect when talking about the skills of his next opponent. For the Friborg native, Cejudo is dangerous and requires maximum attention during every moment of the fight.

This week, the North American stated that he has all the necessary weapons to nullify any of the Brazilian's strategies. For the athlete, Moraes only faced fighters, but never a competitor. When asked about his opponent's statements, the Brazilian minimized the situation.

Regarding his opinion on the forecast for this Saturday's duel, the Brazilian didn't blink.

“I will perform better than ever this Saturday. I will be the new champion.”

The athletes face each other in the main fight of the UFC 238 in contention for the bantamweight belt, vacant by TJ Dillashaw in March this year, after the athlete was caught taking an anti-doping test.

Currently, Marlon, 31 years old, has four major victories in his career. In total, the athlete played 28 times, recording 22 wins, five defeats and one draw.

Cejudo, 32, has less MMA experience. In total, the athlete competed in 15 fights, with 13 triumphs and two setbacks.
