Bantamweight (up to 61,2kg.) Peter Munhoz confirmed the hunch that Marlon moraes wins the fight against Henry Cejudo, this Saturday (8), at UFC 238, in Chicago (USA). In an exclusive interview with SUPER FIGHTS, the athlete confirmed that, if he wins aljamain sterling, I would like to face my compatriot in a future title fight.

“I like Marlon as a person. We have a coach in common, Anderson França (Muay Thai). I'm rooting for him”, said Munhoz, who showed confidence in Moraes' victory. “I believe in his victory. He is a stronger and more experienced fighter than (Henry) Cejudo”, said the São Paulo native.
Pedro also confirmed that, if the belt comes to Brazil, it would be very interesting for him, as it would bring MMA's attention to the country in the event of a possible meeting between the two of them.
“A victory for Marlon and one for me on Saturday would be a great promotion to have our fight in Brazil. It would be the first in history. Two Brazilians fighting for a belt in Brazil. I think it would be brilliant,” said Munhoz.
To get a chance at a title fight, whether against Marlon or Cejudo, Munhoz will have to beat the American aljamain sterling, which comes from three consecutive victories. The athlete, however, showed confidence in the work done and believes in a good job over the weekend.
“For each athlete, we draw up a different strategy. In Sterling's case, it was no different. We analyzed his game and hope to put our tactics into practice to get a good result”, commented Pedro.
The bantamweight, however, revealed that he does not have a specific desire for how he wants to end the fight. According to Munhoz, he is prepared for all areas of the duel.
“It's a little difficult to talk. I have a very sharp ground game, but I've improved my standup game a lot, even more so with my last fight with a knockout over Coby Garbrandt. I am prepared for the entire fight area”, concluded the fighter.
Pedro is in a great phase in his career, with three consecutive victories. In his last fight, he defeated the former champion of the category, Coby Garbrandt, in a devastating knockout in the first round, causing the North American to suffer his third defeat in a row.
At 32 years old, the fighter has already had 22 professional MMA fights. He has 18 wins, three losses and one fight without result.
His opponent, 28, also undefeated in three fights, fought 17 duels and triumphed in 14, also having three setbacks.
