This was definitely not Antônio's night'Shoe Face'. The Brazilian returned to the UFC after a year away due to injuries and was surpassed by the American Ian Heinisch by unanimous decision of the judges at UFC Rochester, this Saturday (18), in New York (USA). The Brazilian, before the clash, was in 12th place in the middleweight rankings (up to 83,9kg.)

The 29-year-old Brazilian started the duel well, going forward and putting his opponent on the ground. After the stages, Antônio seems to have tired and was surpassed, even in the area of his greatest specialty: the floor.
The clash represented the 11th performance of Shoe Face by Ultimate. Until then, the winner of TUF (The Ultimate Fighter) Brasil 3 had only been defeated on two occasions.
His opponent, however, only had his second fight for the organization and is still undefeated in Ultimate. His debut, coincidentally, took place against another Brazilian: Cesar Mutante. On that occasion, the North American also defeated Mutante by unanimous decision of the judges.
The fight
The Brazilian started the fight with his guard up, taking care not to be surprised by his opponent. In the first minute, Shoe Face managed to take the fight to his comfort zone, which is the ground. With time to work his opponent on the ground, the Brazilian began to find an opening to attempt a submission on Heinisch in the first round. Ian, however, managed to get up, but the Brazilian remained clinging to his opponent's back. At the end of the stage, Antônio almost got a guillotine choke, but the American managed to get out of position.
The second round began with Ian connecting a good blow against the Brazilian's face, who did not attack. Shoe Face he sought to enter the opponent's range of action by approaching with low kicks. The fight briefly went to the ground, however, the North American managed to get up in a similar situation to the previous stage. At a time when he was clinging to Heinisch's back, Antônio was surprised by a direct elbow to the face. The Brazilian was then forced to change his position, which was no longer favorable. In the last minute of the assault, Shoe Face He tried another takedown on Ian, however, Antônio fell underneath and was hit a few times by his opponent. Luckily, there was no more time.
With the possibility of a draw, the third round was definitive. The athletes exchanged good blows in the center of the octagon, and, at one point, Ian managed to connect a good blow to the Brazilian's face, which he felt. With just over a minute having passed, the duel was interrupted by an illegal blow from Antônio, who was warned. After returning, the Brazilian was immediately taken down by his opponent. When trying to get up, Antônio was hit by a knee and, before his opponent could take advantage, he looked for the American's legs to take the fight to the ground. Again, the takedown attempt was frustrated. Shoe Face again he fell beneath his opponent.

The Brazilian Vincent Luque got a good victory over the American Derrik Krantz. After being surprised by his opponent at the beginning of the duel, the athlete managed to overcome the difficulties and defeat his opponent by knockout at the end of the round.
Derrick Krantz started the duel by attacking and landing good blows on the Brazilian's face, who absorbed the blow well. After being taken to the ground, the Brazilian almost suffered a submission, but managed to remain calm and get out of the uncomfortable position. After the difficulty, Vicente managed to get up and began to put his strategy into play. After a few blows, Luque managed to land a good knee on Derrick's abdomen, which he felt and went to the ground. The Brazilian then only had the job of hitting his opponent until the referee stopped the fight.
With the victory, Luque, 27 years old, had his fifth consecutive victory and is in 15th place in the welterweight rankings (under 77kg).
