Dana White's former protégé, Sage Northcutt did not have his dream debut playing for his new company, ONE FC. The athlete, who was considered one of the most promising names in the UFC, succumbed to the strength of Brazilian Cosmo Alexandre, in a duel that took place this Friday (17), in Singapore. Sage was hired as one of the organization's top names for the future.

Just 29 seconds was the time needed for Sage Northcutt would once again disappoint those who see him as a reference for the future in MMA. Released by Ultimate at the end of last year, the North American signed a contract with ONE FC in December.
There was great expectation surrounding the debut of the new athlete. Brazilian Cosmo Alexandre, ex-Bellator, however, tried to calm things down and defeat the star in a few seconds, frustrating many fans' plans.
Northcutt began to gain notoriety in the fighting world after winning his UFC debut at just 19 years old. The athlete caught the eye of the organization's leader and surprised again with a new victory, acting just two months after his debut in Ultimate. The cold water, however, came when the promise was defeated by Bryan Barbarena, in January 2016.
Sage performed five more times in the UFC, but without the previous prestige. Away from the spotlight, the athlete was released by the organization.
This was the third defeat in the career of the 23-year-old American, who has 14 fights and 11 victories on his record.
Cosmo Alexandre, in turn, despite being older, 37, has only eight fights in MMA, totaling seven victories. The athlete became known for his kickboxing performances, in which he performed 52 times, triumphing 39, losing 12 and drawing on one occasion.
