No pushing, frowning or teasing. The ceremonial weighing of the UFC 237, an event that takes place next Saturday (11), in Rio de Janeiro, was marked by mild weather. Protagonist of the main fight, Jessica Stacker surprised and took a rose to her rival Rose namajunas. The North American returned the kindness with a hug to the Brazilian before they posed for photos.

Rose Namajunas: the story of the champion who escapes the spotlight

First to go on stage, Jessica Stacker received a standing ovation from the crowd. The woman from Paraná was half a pound – around 225 grams – below the division limit and weighed 52 kg. In turn, Namajunas was the balance without the traditional booing of foreign athletes. She was also below the category limit and weighed 52 kg.

At the time of the traditional face-off, Jéssica surprised and gave her rival a rose. Namajunas couldn't hide her surprise and when thanking her rival, she gave Bate-Estaca a long hug.

“I'm ready, I'm at home, with your energy... Everything will be fine. Tomorrow I will do my best in there and we will head towards victory”, said Jéssica after the face-off.
