Bellator 198 has second highest audience of the year

Around 750 thousand viewers followed the event in the USA with broadcasts on the Paramount and CMT channels

Bellator's dream fight took 13 years to happen and just 48 seconds to finish, yet the franchise has nothing to complain about. The knockout of Fedor Emelianenko against Frank mir, the main fight of Bellator 198 had an average of 750 thousand viewers on two television channels in the United States.

Fedor's win averaged 581.000 viewers on Paramount and another 169.000 viewers on CMT, the company's second-best showing so far this year.

Bellator competed in the US as boxing broadcast on FOX, HBO and ESPN. FOX had 839.000 viewers for a show headlined by Josesito Lopez's victory over Miguel Cruz. HBO had 706.000 viewers and ESPN had 701.000 viewers.

The MMA event also had competition from both the NBA Playoffs on TNT, the NHL playoffs on NBC, local market playoff games in both sports, as well as local and national Major League baseball.

Compared to Bellator, April 13, with the main fight of Michael chandler and Brandon Girtz did 403.000 viewers, which were 242.000 on Paramount and 161.000 on CMT.
