Climbed to face Stephen Thompson in the main fight of UFC Liverpool, in May, Darren till He knows he's close to a title shot if he wins. Seventh in the welterweight rankings, the Englishman exudes confidence and can already predict how the fight will end. He hopes to knock out the North American in the third round of the fight.

“I wouldn’t say his wrestling or his ground game is better than mine. I know he has good teammates, like Chris Weidman, but I don't see him as better than me in any area. My striking is better and I will beat him. It's a knockout in the third round”, said Till, in an interview with the podcast 'Obviously Fight Talk'
Till, who is undefeated in MMA with 16 wins and one draw, is ranked 7th in the welterweight rankings. But the Englishman hopes that a big victory against the leader of the ranking will put him in a position of respect in the category
“As soon as I beat Stephen, everyone will know that I'm the best striker at welterweight. As soon as I beat him on May 27th, people will stop talking about my hype”, he declared.
