Ciryl Gane took advantage of the change at the top of the heavyweight division (up to 120,2 kg) to position himself in the UFC. In a post published on Instagram this Monday (14), Gane reacted to the new scenario and made it clear that he is anxious to know what comes next. 'Bon Gamin' comes from a victory over Alex Poatan at UFC Casa Branca , in June, and is still waiting for his next opponent to be defined.

"I can't wait," wrote Ciryl Gane in a short message to fans.
The change came after Aspinall announced he no longer intends to hold the heavyweight championship title. The Briton decided to relinquish the title, ending the wait for a unification bout that was considered one of the division's most important fights.

Gane had already revealed that he has a specific opponent in mind should he be unable to face Aspinall. The Frenchman expressed interest in a rematch against Alex Poatan , who is also looking to establish himself in the heavyweight division. The champion remains without a confirmed fight at this time.
