Paddy Pimblett is very mistaken about his supposed superiority over Charles Oliveira — at least in Marcos Parrumpinha's view. After finishing Benoit Saint-Denis at UFC 329 , the British star gained confidence and began to claim that he could repeat the feat against the 'Flough Lion' . However, this prediction is considered wrong by the American Top Team coach.
During an appearance on the 'Overdogs Brasil' podcast, Parrumpinha disagreed with Pimblett's analysis. According to the coach, the idea that Charles is in decline is unfounded, and in a potential matchup between the two, he would bet on the Brazilian.

“He said he would finish Charles and that Charles is already in decline. I don't agree with that, mainly because, in a fight like that against Paddy Pimblett , I would bet on Charles. His jiu-jitsu is better, and his stand-up game is too,” said Parrumpinha.
The coach also considered that Pimblett might offer some advantages in physical aspects, especially in later rounds. Even so, Parrumpinha doesn't believe the Briton has the level to overcome either Charles Oliveira or Arman Tsarukyan , who also ranks at the top of the UFC's lightweight division (up to 70,3 kg).
"Perhaps only in terms of vitality and strength will the scenario be different. If the fight goes to the later rounds, Paddy Pimblett might have an advantage because he's younger, but I don't see him winning against either Charles or Arman," the coach concluded.
Paddy Pimblett crushes Benoit Saint-Denis at UFC 329
Although, in Parrumpinha's view, Benoit Saint-Denis 's leap to Charles do Bronx is greater than Pimblett could make, the Briton delivered a dominant performance against the Frenchman.
In the opening seconds of the fight, Paddy capitalized on a takedown attempt and locked in a choke that knocked Saint-Denis unconscious in the co-main event. With the victory, the Briton returned to the win column and put behind him the setback suffered against Justin Gaethje in his last fight.
