Conor McGregor reveals second fight scheduled for 2027 and criticizes UFC contract: 'This is ridiculous'

Conor McGregor He once again expressed dissatisfaction with his relationship with the UFC. Even though he was scheduled to fight Max Holloway in the main fight of UFC 329, scheduled for July 11th in Las Vegas (USA), the Irishman revealed that he already has a second fight scheduled in his contract. The problem, according to him, is the excessive interval between commitments: his return to the octagon would only be scheduled for April 2027.

The revelation was made during an interview with Ariel Helwani's channel. Annoyed with the schedule established by the organization, the former featherweight (up to 65,7 kg) and lightweight (up to 70,3 kg) champion described the situation as absurd and stated that he would like to fight more frequently.

“I already have the two dates for my next fights. I have July 11th… and April 2027. That’s how the contract was structured. The second fight is almost a year later! That’s ridiculous,” declared the Irishman.

The statement raises further questions about McGregor's relationship with the event. In recent years, the star has had public clashes with the organization, in addition to facing long periods of inactivity due to injuries and problems outside of the sport.
