Netflix's first MMA event was grand, media-driven, and featured numerous stars in action, but one name, in particular, managed to stand out and make its mark on the world stage. In the event held last Saturday (16) in California (USA), Namo Fazil shone and made short work of Jake Babian, finishing him in the second round. And, after taking advantage of the chance to perform for the streaming giant, the representative from Kurdistan is now ready to take an even bigger leap in his career.
In an interview with the YouTube channel 'FightHype', Namo revealed that he is packing his bags for the UFC and assures that it is only a matter of time before he joins the elite of the welterweight division (up to 77,1 kg). Furthermore, the athlete, who stole the show at the event's press conference by arguing with his opponent, Mike Perry and impress in the cage, he also got involved in a brawl with Arman Tsarukyan and challenged him.

It's true that, so far, the world's largest MMA organization hasn't announced 'Grandson of Saladin' as a new addition. However, since Dana White isn't particularly fond of the Armenian, he might very well give Fazil a chance, given that Fazil has proven to be a 'showman' both in terms of talking and fighting.
“Kurdish power here is different. We are built differently. I am 100% authentic, baby. This is a violent business, so if you don't like brawling, go play ping-pong or volleyball. Do something light and beautiful, because I'm ready to dominate. By the way, I have news. I'm going to fight in the UFC soon. August 12th, my dear. I'm going to dominate the UFC too. The Kurd, Salah's grandson, is in the United States and all those fighters are dead,” said the bad boy.
“They just told me, not exactly who I’m going to fight, but that I signed, 100%. So, that’s it, baby, I’m going in. Let’s go! Anyone can have this. I don’t care who it’s against. It’ll be on the Contender Series, actually. So, I’ll have to put on a show again, but I have no problem with that. After this fight, I’m not going to lie, I want to fight next month. I’m intact, I have no injuries and I can come back quickly. I walk like a stallion, I’m Gucci,” he concluded.

Fazil's statement after winning on Netflix.
“I talk a lot, but I keep my promises. I can fight tomorrow. I’ll fight anyone, anytime, anywhere. I’d even fight my own mother for free. Tsarukyan, where are you? We need to talk, baby. Perry didn’t want to fight me. I know he’s scared, especially after seeing my performance. Of course they won’t want to fight me,” the athlete declared.
