Alex Poatán He is experiencing the months leading up to one of the most significant stages of his career with joy. The Brazilian has a fight scheduled for the interim heavyweight title (up to 120,2 kg) against Cyryl Gane No. UFC White House, on June 14th, in Washington DC (USA). With a smile on his lips, the São Paulo native spent part of the training session with Glover Teixeira Plínio Cruz shared on social media and showed that the atmosphere is more than pleasant amidst his camp.
During training, Poatan is seen coordinating a boxing session between Glover and Plínio. Observing from a distance, the man from São Paulo gestured when one of his teammates was in a position to see him, giving tips on what to do next. In the end, laughter filled the room when Cruz realized that the advice wasn't just for him.

If this is confirmed, Poatan, who has already been champion in the middleweight (up to 83,9 kg) and light heavyweight (up to 93 kg) divisions, will become the first athlete in the history of the sport to win belts in three different weight classes.
To try and achieve this feat, the Brazilian had to relinquish his light heavyweight title. The decision follows a policy adopted by the UFC in cases of division changes, which left the category's belt vacant.
