On media day UFC 327, Paulo borrachinha responded to a provocation made by Azamat Murzakanov, his opponent in the event scheduled for April 11th. The reaction occurred during a press interview, when the Brazilian was questioned about recent statements by the Russian involving "secret juice," an expression linked to his name, which ended up creating a tense atmosphere on the eve of the fight.

The controversy began after Murzakanov stated that the so-called "Russian secret juice" was the result of hard work and dedication, in a clear dig at the Brazilian. His statement was discussed at the press conference, even reaching Borrachinha, who disliked the comment and decided to publicly respond when asked about it.

Never one to mince words, the middleweight (up to 83,9 kg), who will fight in the light heavyweight division (up to 93 kg) against the Russian, raised his voice and lashed out at his rival, questioning his authority to speak on the subject and resorting to direct insults. Furthermore, the Brazilian challenged his opponent to settle their differences inside the octagon.

"What the hell is this? The guy is fat as fuck. What's he going to say about 'secret juice'? He doesn't know shit about that. So that's it, show up. Show up, you fat as fuck," he said. Paulo borrachinha at the press conference.

The Brazilian began his professional MMA career in 2012. Since then, he has accumulated 15 wins and four losses in his record. His journey in the UFC began with a victory over Garreth McLellan by technical knockout in the first round at UFC Fight Night 106 in March 2017 in Fortaleza.
