In a post-fight interview with ESPN journalist Brett Okamoto, Borralho assessed his own performance as very good. The 'Nerd' stated that he tried to knock out the Dutchman at every moment, but his opponent was very slippery. Struggling to win the fight quickly, the Brazilian resorted to body shots and calf kicks.
“I tried to knock him out several times, but the guy is very slippery, very strange to face, you know? It’s difficult to land a punch on him. So I needed to attack his body more, use more calf kicks, but it was complicated to land a clean strike. Still, I feel good because I showed very good progress in my striking, fighting with my hands lower and moving around, very loose in there. I also showed my grappling: I dominated him in that area. I passed his guard, mounted him twice. So I think everyone already knows how good I am,” said the Brazilian.
