In an interview with the channel 'Laerte Viana na Área – MMA', the Chute Boxe athlete explained his understanding of the concept. For the former lightweight champion (up to 70,3 kg), his story fits the requirements, as does Poatan's. 'Do Bronx' recalled part of the striker's trajectory, who, through highs and lows, is now considered one of the greatest fighters of today and is frequently cited in debates about the best in history.

"There are a lot of guys, right? There are a lot of guys who… Because, like, I think this: 'BMF'… Everyone thinks differently. There are people who think they're the most 'f$%@' guy, who go in there cursing, saying all sorts of things. I think they were raised that way, you know? That image of a fighter and all that."

But as the years go by, things happen. So I think everyone is different. I consider myself a 'BMF' because of my history, because of everything I've been through.

"If we start talking about it here, we'll mention a lot of guys, a lot of stories of fighters who, you know, really deserved to fight for 'BMF'," said 'Do Bronx' in an interview.
