The UFC White House card may feature... Jon Jones...but, apparently, from outside the octagon. Recently, the former champion dealt with... cool down the rumors Regarding his participation in the historic event, he revealed a hip injury. Even so, his protégé, Gable Stevenson, is already devising a plan to make his debut on the card scheduled to take place on the lawn of the United States presidential residence.

In an interview with ESPN MMA, the Olympic medalist indicated that he intends to publicly request a spot in the event if he achieves a significant knockout in his next fight. According to him, a victory of that magnitude would reinforce his momentum in mixed martial arts; however, he cautioned that the final decision depends on how things unfold.

“Yes, for sure I’m going to ask (for a spot at UFC Casa Branca). I think it’s more than fair, especially if it’s a big knockout next Thursday, you know? It would be my fourth… My third in MMA and one in dirty boxing. So, it would be like that. But, as we said, if things fall into place that way, they fall into place. If not, patience,” said Gable Stevenson.

Who is Gable Stevenson?

At 25 years old, Gable Stevenson is an Olympic gold medalist and two-time NCAA champion, with a dominant record of 85 wins and only two losses in college wrestling. He also had a brief stint in American football, playing for the Buffalo Bills in the NFL, and an unsuccessful experience in WWE.

In his transition to combat sports, Steveson has two knockout victories in MMA, both in the first round. In dirty boxing, the American has one fight and a lightning-fast knockout achieved in just 15 seconds.

To date, the UFC has not yet officially announced any fights with signed contracts for the highly anticipated event at the White House. In a statement made last Tuesday (10), Dana White said that the full card should start to be announced in the coming weeks, as negotiations are finalized.

The event is planned for June 14, 2026, in the South Lawn of the White House in Washington, D.C., according to recent statements by Donald Trump and Dana White himself. Initially, the organization was working with the possibility of holding the show on July 4, but the date was moved forward due to logistical issues related to the celebrations of the 250th anniversary of the independence of the United States.

Excited by the magnitude of the proposal, Dana White described the show as a kind of 'Sphere on steroids', suggesting it will be one of the biggest events in UFC history, both in terms of structure and impact.

Among the names strongly considered for inclusion in the show are Alex Poatán, Jon Jones, Conor McGregor, Justin gaethje, Ilia Topuria, Islam makhachev, Amanda nunes e Kayla harrison, although, so far, no match has been officially announced.
