Flavio Álvaro has no doubt that Jean Silva is the ideal name to dethrone Alexander Volkanovski in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). After defeating Arnold Allen , with a surfing sequence , at UFC 324, the Brazilian has firmly established himself in the race for the featherweight title (up to 65,7 kg). Even so, the Australian champion has indicated that he intends to face the winner of the duel between Movsar Evloev and Lerone Murphy , scheduled for March 28th at UFC London . This possibility does not please the Fighting Nerds coach.
In an interview with 'PVT', Flavio Alvaro argued that, when analyzing the current state of the division from an entertainment and business perspective, the fight between Jean Silva and Volkanovski makes the most sense for the UFC. According to the coach, the other two contenders for the top spot in the category don't offer the same appeal to the public. Although he acknowledges the Australian as one of the biggest names in the division's history, Flavio believes that the moment now belongs to Jean Silva.

If the fight against Alexander Volkanovski doesn't materialize, the coach admits to an alternative plan. According to Flavio Alvaro, a fight against Yair Rodríguez, "Pantera," would also be coherent within the context of the division. He guaranteed that Jean Silva would be ready to face the Mexican and, subsequently, compete for the title.
"I hope it's him, but if it's not Volkanovski, I think Pantera would make sense, and we'd be ready to face Pantera and ultimately go for the belt," concluded the 'Legendary Coach'.
