In the octagon, Ruffy took advantage of the spotlight and made a bold challenge to Conor McGregor and Paddy Pimblett . Interestingly, the athlete was classified by many as a kind of modern version of the Irishman due to his high level and style in striking.

“Hunter (Campbell), Dana White, what do you think about putting me in the White House? You can put me against Paddy Pimblett or against Conor McGregor . I'm sure McGregor and I would put on a much better show than Chandler vs. McGregor,” said the athlete.
Ruffy in the UFC
Mauricio Ruffy , 29, is part of the UFC's lightweight elite. Discovered on the reality show 'Contender Series' in 2023, the Brazilian debuted in the biggest MMA organization a year later, winning four fights, three by knockout, and losing one. Currently, he is ranked 14th in the division. His main victories were against Bobby Green and Rafael Fiziev.
