If the atmosphere for the Rafael Fiziev vs. Mauricio Ruffy fight wasn't the best, it became even more tense after the final face-off. At the UFC 325 ceremonial weigh-in, held this Friday (30) in Australia, the top lightweight fighters (up to 70,3 kg) intensified their rivalry. Irritated by 'Ataman's' posture face-to-face, the Brazilian surprised and provoked him.
Initially, the pair greeted each other at the last moment to promote the duel. However, Fiziev, agitated, didn't stop talking and smiling. Serious and without blinking, Luffy raised his guard and got into a fighting stance.

Next, the Brazilian moved away, but his opponent continued talking and advanced towards him. Immobile, the member of the 'Fighting Nerds' team pointed at the Kazakh and made a trembling hand gesture, implying that he was afraid. At UFC 325, Ruffy seeks to recover from his first defeat in the octagon, while Fiziev aims to secure his second consecutive victory.

Mauricio Ruffy, 29, is a promising MMA fighter and competes in the UFC's lightweight division. Discovered on the reality show 'Contender Series' in 2023, the Brazilian debuted in the sport's largest organization a year later, winning three fights, two by knockout, and losing one. Currently, he is ranked 14th in the division. His main victory was against Bobby Green.
