Completely sidelined by Dana White and seeking an opportunity to compete for the lightweight title (up to 70,3 kg), Arman Tsarukyan continues to enthusiastically observe the progress of the division, especially when the fights involve his rivals. After the confrontation between Justin Gaethje and Paddy Pimblett in the main event of UFC 324, the Armenian publicly expressed his satisfaction with the Briton's failure.

In an interview with 'The Ariel Helwani Show' last Tuesday (27), Tsarukyan confessed to having enjoyed the fight, especially when recalling the moments in which Pimblett found himself in trouble. In addition, he also felt comfortable “advising” his rival.
“I was enjoying every second when Gaethje hit him. He’s a coward… he has no MMA skills. He has a chin and that’s it. He needs a 5-6 year break after this fight. I wish the UFC would fire him. Worst fighter in the UFC,” he stated.

The loss to Gaethje was Pimblett's first in the UFC, and it ended an almost eight-year undefeated streak in the Briton's career. Before the fight, Paddy publicly taunted the Armenian by addressing the UFC's decision to prioritize him in the interim title fight, while Tsarukyan was left out despite being ranked first in the lightweight division (up to 70,3 kg).
