Jean Silva explains why he should be the next challenger for the UFC belt.

Jean Silva is convinced that he should be the next challenger for the Ultimate featherweight (up to 65,7kg) belt. The Brazilian entered the action at UFC 324, held last Saturday (24), and, after three rounds of action, was declared the winner over Arnold Allen by unanimous decision of the judges. In the athlete's view, the result, added to the entertainment he delivers inside and outside the octagon, qualifies him for a title fight next.

In an interview with UFC Brazil, Jean Silva emphasized that he doesn't see another name capable of generating more public interest and promoting an event like him. The fighter stressed that modern MMA goes beyond the fight itself and involves spectacle, from entering the octagon to the way one behaves.

“There’s no other option. If you put any other name, who’s going to sell more than me? Who’s going to know how to promote an event? We’re not talking about a fight club. It’s not the Pride of that time, when it was just fighting. This is a show, entertainment, from the entrance to the way you dress,” said Jean Silva.

According to Jean Silva , nothing he achieves is by chance, as everything is carefully planned alongside his coaches and manager, with the exception of his explosive personality. Convinced, Jean reinforced that his objective is clear: to become the next champion in his category.

“This is the game, and I didn’t learn it out of thin air. I’ve been working with my coaches and my manager. Everything is rehearsed, everything is planned. Only the craziness is mine… I just want to say that I am the next champion,” concluded Jean Silva.

Although the victory over Arnold Allen has indeed thrilled fans, Jean Silva faces strong competition in the race for the featherweight belt. Diego Lopes , who beat 'Lord' in September 2025, is scheduled to face Alexander Volkanovski at UFC 325, scheduled for next Saturday (31), in a duel valid for the category title.

In addition to him, undefeated fighters Lerone Murphy and Movsar Evloev are also vying for a title shot against the champion. Rounding out the list of contenders is Yair Rodriguez , currently ranked fourth in the UFC featherweight division.
