If training is any indication, Caio Borralho is far from running out of gas at UFC 326, scheduled for March 7th. Booked for the co-main event, the Brazilian faces Reinier de Ridder and has already begun the most intense phase of his physical preparation for the fight, even taking the opportunity to give tips to his rival, who has shown problems in that area in previous bouts.

In a video posted on his YouTube channel, Caio Borralho explained that he is in the most grueling phase of his training camp, focusing on interval training aimed at building specific stamina for the fight. The middleweight (up to 83,9kg) also stated that this type of preparation would be ideal for De Ridder, who has previously struggled in this area.

“Today’s workout is the kind you’ve been having nightmares about for the past two days. Interval training. There are nine weeks until the fight, and interval training is a workout that really works on specific stamina for the fight, with intensity and rest, to train precisely and for my recovery. In fact, this is the type of training I think De Ridder should be doing. He said he was going to run, do this and that, because he doesn’t have stamina and all that, and this is the kind of training that gives him stamina. If you’re watching, this is the kind of training that gives him stamina,” said Caio Borralho.

Caio Borralho reveals strategy to defeat Reinier De Ridder at UFC 326

Scheduled for the co-main event, Caio Borralho has already outlined a clear plan to leave the octagon victorious. In a video published on his YouTube channel, Borralho explained that he believes in a good clash of styles, although he recognizes the risks if the fight goes to the ground, an area where De Ridder poses more of a threat. Confident, the Brazilian stated that the strategy involves keeping the fight standing, using any takedowns more as a way to wear down his opponent, and he didn't rule out the possibility of winning by knockout.

“Our fighting styles mesh very well. I have to be very careful when we go to the ground; he has some dangerous attacks that are deceptive. But the expectation is to keep this fight standing, maintain this game standing, and use takedowns more to tire him out. We saw that he gave up in the last fight, and I don't think he'll even have time to give up, because I'm going to knock him out first,” said Caio Borralho.
