Jorge Masvidal hasn't fought since April 2023, when he was defeated by Brazilian Gilbert Burns and hung up his gloves. However, the name of the 'Street Jesus' resurfaced this week. He was rumored to be fighting Conor McGregor at the highly anticipated UFC White House event.
In an interview with 'MMA Junkie Radio', Masvidal was directly asked about the rumors surrounding a possible fight against Conor McGregor . He didn't definitively name the Irishman, but left open the possibility of competing at President Donald Trump's residence. And, of course, he didn't miss the opportunity to taunt his potential opponent.

“I wouldn’t mind going there and doing what I know how to do at the White House,” Masvidal said. “That’s the only fight I’d come back for. Whether it’s the guy who sells cheap whiskey ( Conor McGregor ) or Joe Nobody, I don’t care, it’s the White House. I really don’t give a damn. I’m very, very easy to negotiate with in this particular fight,” stated the former UFC BMF champion.
Jorge Masvidal also revealed that he is the favorite fighter of the 'host', the President of the United States, Donald Trump.
“I’m Trump’s favorite fighter, that’s all you need to keep in mind,” Masvidal added before concluding, “Remember that at all times.”

Although names like Jon Jones , Alex Paotan , and Conor McGregor have already expressed interest in headlining the unprecedented event, the UFC president is keeping his favorite athletes a secret. The only name Dana White hasn't denied is Derrick Lewis.
White has avoided talking about the names that may be at UFC White House . No official information from the company has yet been released regarding the selected fighters. The event is scheduled to take place on June 14, 2026, the same date that Donald Trump, the US president, will turn 80 years old.
Initially, Dana White had said that UFC White House would take place on July 4th, Independence Day in the United States, however, Donald Trump updated the date in a speech at the Norfolk Naval Station, to October 5th, 2025.
