Mohammed Usman's UFC career may have come to an end. The heavyweight (up to 120,2kg), brother of former welterweight champion Kamaru Usman (up to 77kg), received a 30-month suspension for violating the UFC's Anti-Doping Policy.
The athlete tested positive for testosterone in a sample collected out of competition on September 8, 2025. The punishment is retroactive to October 9 of the same year, two days before his fight against Valter Walker , and will remain in effect until April 9, 2028.
According to CSAD (Combat Sports Anti-Doping), Usman made false statements during the investigation process. Due to the attempt to deceive the agency, an additional six-month penalty was added to the standard two-year suspension.
If he chooses to return after serving his suspension, Mohammed Usman will be 40 years old when he is eligible to compete in the octagon again. Currently, the Nigerian has 11 wins and four losses in his professional record, with four victories achieved under the UFC banner.
