Arman Tsarukyan has been in contact with Alexandre Pantoja . Tsarukyan gave a recent interview and, in the conversation, revealed that he exchanged a few words with the Brazilian, former UFC flyweight champion (56,7kg), about Pantoja's return period.

In a video released by the 'Home of Fight' profile on X, formerly Twitter, Arman Tsarukyan appears talking about the Brazilian fighter. In the conversation, Tsarukyan mentioned that Pantoja is already training and that Alexandre himself told him that he plans to return to fighting between June and July.

“What do you think of (Alexandre) Pantoja and his injury?”, the interviewer asked. “Ah, he’s back… Yes, he’s back (to training)… I asked him (Pantoja) when he would return (to fighting) and he told me he’s thinking June or July,” Arman Tsarukyan explained in an interview.

Alexandre Pantoja became the UFC flyweight champion after facing Brandon Moreno at UFC 290 on July 8, 2023, in a title fight. Pantoja won by split decision, taking both the fight and the belt. This fight also earned him the 'Fight of the Night' award. The Brazilian defended his title four times.

However, the Brazilian was unable to continue. 'The Cannibal' attempted his fifth title defense against Joshua Van at UFC 323 on December 6, 2025. Pantoja lost the belt in the first round via technical knockout due to an arm injury. Alexandre threw a high kick, which was blocked and caught by Joshua, who then pushed him down, causing Alexandre to fall on his own arm.
