Amanda Lemos is confident. The 38-year-old Brazilian gave an interview to UFC Fight Pass this Thursday (11) and sent the message, making it clear that she will impose her game against Gillian Robertson at UFC Vegas 112, this Saturday (13), in Las Vegas (USA).
Amanda Lemos shared some behind-the-scenes details of her preparation for the fight against Canadian Gillian Robertson. The Brazilian mentioned that she had already been training at a lower weight before being confirmed on the card, which helped her adapt to facing Robertson. Amanda also said that she is aiming for a title shot in 2026.
“I offered myself for this fight about 40 days ago… I was already training, I was already at a very low weight. So, for me, it was easy to accept this fight… She’s a jiu-jitsu practitioner (Gillian Robertson), so she won’t bring anything different, just want to take me down. And we’re preparing to defend, impose our game and come out with the victory… They want my place in the rankings, but it will be difficult to get… I’m training for this and I keep improving with each fight, each camp, mainly because even fighters specialized in stand-up fighting try to take me down… It’s something we’re working hard on and I believe I’ll be able to show it on Saturday. My intention is to win this fight well (against Robertson) and see who will be next (thinking about fighting for the belt in 2026). I believe it’s possible… If it goes as we’re thinking, planning, for sure,” said Amanda Lemos in an interview with UFC Fight Pass.
"I'm prepared to impose my game plan and come out with the victory."
