In an interview with 'Omeleteve' during CCXP25, Poatan commented that he remains interested in debuting in the heavyweight category (up to 120,2kg) and that he has expressed this desire several times to UFC officials. However, the Brazilian acknowledges that the decision does not depend solely on him and states that, like the fans, he is also eagerly awaiting the next steps.
"I spoke about my interest in fighting at heavyweight. I discussed this at the White House with..." Jon Jones "And I had already mentioned the possibility of a heavyweight fight for the third belt.
