Jean Silva is coming off a tough loss, but anyone who thinks his confidence is shaken is mistaken. On the contrary, the Brazilian, scheduled to face Arnold Allen at UFC 324 on January 24th in Las Vegas (USA), envisions a great future in the world's largest MMA organization and is inspired by a compatriot: Alex Poatan.
In an interview with the YouTube channel 'Laerte Viana na Área', Jean guaranteed that he will be the UFC featherweight champion (up to 65,8 kg) and promised to make his mark on the sport. Without any mystery, the athlete stated that he will frequently defend his title, as he knows that fans don't support professionals who fight infrequently in the divisions. Despite never having been in the top 5 of the category, the 'bad boy', ranked 11th, is convinced that it's only a matter of time before he takes the throne, dominates it, and celebrates.

“If it’s about business, I’ll be a real Poatan. I’ll fight one fight after another. No messing around. Those who know me know I don’t like to be idle. That’s the reality, being in the fight. Just like Merab, who’s always fighting. I want to be like that, like a tough guy fighting for a belt,” said the Brazilian.

Passionate about fighting, Jean Silva doesn't hide his desire to become a new Alex Poatan and Merab Dvalishvili , dominant champions who fight frequently. In the light heavyweight division (up to 93 kg), the Brazilian put the belt on the line four times in a period of one year (April 2024, June, October and March 2025). The Georgian will put the bantamweight title (up to 61,2 kg) on the line for the fourth time in 2025 against Petr Yan at UFC 323, this Saturday (6).
