The MMA community was surprised last Saturday (29). Through social media, the official Ultimate profile in Brazil announced that Charles of the Bronx would face Max Holloway, owner of the 'BMF' belt (baddest motherfucker in the company), in UFC 324, an event scheduled to take place on January 24th in Las Vegas (USA). However, the company's account immediately deleted the post, leaving a mystery in the air.
It's worth noting that Dana White, the UFC president, usually announces major fights through his social media. Therefore, since the post was deleted, it's unknown whether it was a false alarm or if the organization is indeed interested in holding the rematch between the MMA legends at the event that kicks off the 2026 season and also the grand partnership with Paramount.

The only certainty is that Charles and Holloway, former UFC champions, have already made their interest in the fight clear. Dana White, in turn, described the potential fight between the veterans as 'incredible', but hasn't made it official.
Reckoning

On that occasion, the Brazilian suffered an esophageal injury during the fight and was knocked out in the first round, in just over a minute. Visibly stronger mentally and physically, the athlete guaranteed that, under normal conditions, the development of the fight, now at lightweight (up to 70,3 kg), would be totally different.
How is the pair doing now?
Today Charles of the Bronx, 36 years old and former lightweight champion, comes from a victory over Mateusz gamrot and is ranked second in its category. In turn, Max Holloway, 33 years old, former featherweight champion and holder of the 'BMF' title, definitively moved up to the weight class and won Dustin poirier and consolidated its position in third place.
