In praising Makhachev's achievement, Conor spoke with authority. This achievement paved the way for an extremely select list of athletes who have managed to repeat the feat, a group that gained another member on November 15th, when Islam makhachev derrotou Jack Della Maddalena in the main fight of UFC 322 and won the welterweight title (up to 77 kg). With this, the Dagestani fighter became the 11th fighter in Ultimate history to be champion in more than one division.
