Gabriel Bonfim proved that he belongs among the elite of the UFC welterweight division (up to 77 kg). The Brazilian, who had been criticized in his last performance, left no doubt this time and knocked out Randy Brown in the second round.
With the victory, Gabriel reached 19 career wins, strung together four consecutive wins in the UFC, and defended his 14th place ranking in the division.

At the start of the fight, Bonfim dominated the center of the octagon, advancing with calf kicks and being wary of Brown's greater reach. Midway through the round, the Jamaican began to apply pressure and posed a threat with straight punches and crosses, but the Brazilian showed better movement and saw his low kicks begin to have an effect.

In the second round, Randy came back more aggressively, connecting with good combinations of punches. Gabriel, however, stuck to his strategy and continued to wear down his opponent with low kicks. As the round approached its halfway point, 'Marretinha' spotted the exact moment when Brown lowered his head and landed a precise knee strike, ending the fight.

Joseph Morales proved that his jiu-jitsu deserves respect. The American faced Matt Schnell at UFC Vegas 111 and, after being taken down, swept, threatened with a kimura, and submitted his opponent with a guillotine choke in the first round.
With the victory, Morales reached 14 career wins, his eighth by submission. Schnell, on the other hand, suffered his eighth loss in the UFC.
