Outraged, Ketlen Vieira slams the judges and complains about her UFC loss: 'Cowardly refereeing'

Ketlen Scallop She is outraged after her participation in UFC Vegas 110. At the event held last Saturday (1st), the athlete had a duel of Brazilians against Norm Dumont and lost by split decision. Because she didn't accept the result of the fight, which was extremely important for the bantamweight division (up to 61,2 kg), the member of the 'Nova União' team complained.

On her official Instagram account, Ketlen criticized two of the three judges for considering the fighter from Minas Gerais superior in the fight, using strong language. In the octagon, the fighter from Manaus was dominant in the first round, taking Norma down and almost submitting her. In the second round, the fight was balanced, with this round being decisive for the result.

In the third and final round, Norma was clearly superior. Feeling wronged, since the fight would have brought the winner closer to a bantamweight title shot, Ketlen clung to the numbers, statistics provided by the UFC itself, to justify her victory. Lamenting the setback, the athlete promised to bounce back, but stressed that the judges did not do a good job and saw a different fight.

“I really wanted to understand the referees' mindset. In the round-by-round analysis, I was superior in EVERYTHING. The fight analysis websites gave the fight to me. Those who know me know that I never whine online, I hate that, but it's very sad and unfair to play with people's dreams. It's years and years of dedication. My feeling is one of outrage and indignation. I wanted to understand how a round that was even on the feet, where I took her down, struck her, and finished with a submission, could be given to my opponent! It was the second round they gave to her, and it cost me the fight. That referee must have been asleep during the fight. It's outrageous! I want to make it clear that I have nothing against my opponent; the fault is not hers, but rather that of a cowardly refereeing team that plays with people's dreams. What comforts me is knowing that God knows everything and everyone saw my victory. I know my time will come.”
