After the dismissal of Isaac Dulgarian following a controversial loss to Yadier Del Valle last Saturday (1), the UFC issued an official statement this Monday (3) through social media. In the publication, first reported by journalist Aaron Bronsteter, the company mentioned the fight by name and confirmed that an investigation is being carried out.

“Like many professional sports organizations, the UFC works with an independent betting integrity service to monitor betting activity at our events. Our betting integrity partner, IC360, monitors betting at all UFC events and is conducting a full review of the facts surrounding the Dulgarian vs. del Valle fight on Saturday, November 1st. We take these allegations very seriously and, along with the health and safety of our fighters, nothing is more important than the integrity of our sport,” the statement said.

The favorite for the UFC Vegas 110 fight, Dulgarian was submitted with a rear-naked choke in the first round by the Cuban. However, the odds changed drastically a few hours before the fight began, with several bettors selecting a victory for Del Valle specifically in the first five minutes. According to journalist Ariel Helwani, situations like this are becoming increasingly common behind the scenes of the UFC.
