The winner of the fight could get closer to a chance to face Kayla Harrison for the belt, with Amanda Nunes as a major competitor for the spot.
After winning the belt against Julianna Peña at UFC 316 , Kayla Harrison was challenged by Amanda Nunes right there in the octagon, making it almost certain that 'The Lioness' will be the next challenger. However, the Brazilian's return is not yet confirmed.

In this scenario, the names of Norma Dumont and Ketlen Vieira are gaining strength as possible next challengers. Representing Chute Boxe Diego Lima, Norma Dumont , currently ranked fourth, is on a five-fight winning streak.
Ketlen Vieira , on the other hand, comes from only one victory, however, in her previous duel she suffered a defeat in a very close confrontation against the champion. Furthermore, the Nova União representative is ranked third.
